The expedition happens each year during the dry season in the Amazon (Oct-Nov) that’s when the river is full of beaches, perfect for us to take off and land, and there is less rain.
The November/2019 expedition will happen in the Black River. The experienced paramotor pilots Lula, José, Raphael and Gabriel Laghi will be the guides of this trip. They will give support to the pilots both on land and in the air.
We will have a main, comfortable boat, equipped with cabins, kitchen, and a bar for after flight drinks. Following us during our flights we will also have 2-3 (depending on the amount of pilots) fast boats giving us support in case anyone have to land at some random beach).
Every day we take off after a regional breakfast (a breakfast with typical food of the amazon) and do a 2-3h flight to some agreed destination where we will have lunch, swim and rest before starting the afternoon flight. On the afternoon flight we land at the place we will have dinner or barbecue, enjoy a bonfire, watch the stars and sleep.
Along our way we will come across a number of interest points where we will either watch from above or stop and visit, those are: indigenous tribes, feed river dolphins, watch alligators and turtles, the meeting of Black and White rivers and the anavilhanas and mamiraua archipelagos.
At this time of the year it is very easy to catch fishes so most of our meals will be fresh fishes caught by native people we meet along the way.
